Can't get enough Dropkick Murphys!!!
This was beyond incredible, the Mahones were lots of fun and very entertaining to watch & the Street Dogs gave an excellent punk rock performance at the third Teddy Swims concert I've seen. The Dropkicks themselves were amazing, giving us a show that provided the very adrenaline fueled rush this band is famous for, at the top of their game. They played a great set of songs from multiple albums, most of which came from their latest, GOING OUT IN STYLE. The opening bands were outstanding, with the Stiff Little Fingers being amazing. I was disappointed, however, that CAPTAIN KELLY'S KITCHEN and WARRIOR'S CODE were not among them. The Parkington Sisters provided backup instrumentation during a handful of songs, most notably the song DIRTY GLASS where one of the sisters beautifully provided the female voice. Once again, the Dropkicks proved how important their fans are to them by allowing a man to propose to his girlfriend on stage, bringing a young kid who was fist pumping on his stepdad's shoulders at the front of the audience, along with the kid's brother, and when Ken Kasey told the audience they were not allowed to bring the ladies on stage for KISS ME, I'M S***-FACED due to the safety concerns of the Amphitheater staff, he made up for it by singing the song out among the crowd. The icing on the cake was when Al Barr called for Ken to be crowd surfed to the front towards the end of the song, during which Ken continued to sing while being surfed forward and passed right over top of me :)!!! These guys are my favorite band ever, and this concert left me wanting more, which is why I intend to make the drive to Rochester, NY to see them again this Saturday.
